Transport Minister Conor Murphy flicked the switch recently to activate Northern Ireland's first coach passenger online reservation facility.
Multi-award winning Derry transport company Airporter launched their new all encompassing online reservation system at Stormont yesterday. The new state-of-the-art service will allow passengers to book their Airporter seat online at www.airporter.co.uk from the comfort of their own home and sees the Derry company blazing a trail once more for the Northern Irish travel industry. Transport Minister, Conor Murphy said:
"I welcome the opportunity to launch Airporter's new on-line reservation system. This is a first for the north and another first for this company who recently announced the introduction of free WI-FI services on their vehicles. I commend the commitment and investment of this forward-looking company in the use of modern technology. I would encourage everyone to use public transport when they can and I remain committed to improving public transport for all."

Airporter has teamed up with Zaui Software, a Canadian company specializing in the provision of online, real-time reservation software designed entirely for the tourism industry to create their enterprise solution.
This new departure for the company is the second phase of future proofing towards increased service frequency and destination expansion throughout Northern Ireland. Having been the first in Northern Ireland passenger transport to introduce free onboard Wi-Fi last year, the company are committed to offering the best in comfort and convenience to air travellers to and from the North West.
