Title: Northern Ireland holds its first Bus & Coach Expo

Northern Ireland is set to host its first groundbreaking transport Expo next month, bringing together all the major industry players under one roof.
The Expo@Ecos, which will take place on Friday the 19th and Saturday the 20th of February at the Ecos Centre in Ballymena, will allow visitors to experience first hand all the very latest vehicles, products, emerging technologies, displays and interactive events.
The vast list of exhibitors will ensure the full spectrum of vehicles, products and service suppliers is covered.
“This really is a major event for Ireland,” says organiser Karen Magill from the Federation of Passenger Transport Northern Ireland (FPTNI).
“It will provide a platform on which transport businesses can meet international decision makers from a range of operators, suppliers and local authority organisations.
“For us, the event really represents a perfect opportunity for the industry to come together during these exceptional economic circumstances and look at opportunities to assist each other. This year’s show will be all about working together and helping our industry through these challenging times. We hope that the event will help lift the mood of manufacturers, suppliers and operators alike and provide assurance that there are better times to look forward to in the year ahead.”
Also, throughout the two days, key issues facing the industry will be addressed by representatives from local government departments including DVA Licensing , Enforcement and DVA Testing.
There will also be representatives from GoSkills , on hand to provide information and support on industry skills and career development.
The Ecos Centre’s dedicated conference theatre will house the information and question and answer sessions hosted by some of the leading experts in the industry.
There will be two zoned floors of exhibitors packed with a comprehensive range of products and services needed to run a transport business efficiently and effectively. There will also be a number of fabulous vehicles on display in a dedicated area outside the main Expo.
On Friday 19th the expo will run all day from 10am and on the Saturday it will run from 10am to 1pm. Admission is free and refreshments will be served throughout the day. There will also be coach shuttle services from various locations across the province for those who may wish to use them.
