The Wright Group have further added to their award winning credentials by being honoured as “the most innovative company” at the recent Aer Lingus Viscount Awards, held in London.

The awards, running for the second successive year, recognise the contributions made by Northern Irish companies to the growth of economic cooperation between Northern Ireland and Great Britain.

The Wright Group was recognised for its emphasis on innovation and attention to customer demands, which have changed the face of bus-manufacturing and firmly positioned the company as a global leader.

The Aer Lingus awards are backed by Ulster TV and Business Eye magazine and are judged by a panel of industry leaders. This year nominations were invited in seven new categories – Most Innovative Company, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year (small, medium and large business catagories), Exporter of the Year and The Aer Lingus Viscount Award for Overall Excellence.

“These awards reflect the hard work and dedication of the whole team and show by example how Northern Ireland can be a global business success by placing innovation at its heart and by making best use of the important links we have with Great Britain,” commented Wright Group Managing Director Mark Nodder.

“Many thanks to all the team at The Wright Group for the ongoing hard work and dedication and to the organisers of the Viscount Awards for recognising their efforts,” he continued.
